From light interaction
to quantitative results
Our spectrometer module enables colorimetric and turbidimetric measurements. Two of the most common techniques used in medical diagnostics, environmental testing and quality control. These methods allow for fast, reagent-based quantification of analytes or particles in a liquid sample.
With full visible spectrum coverage (360–700 nm), the module is ideal for embedding into analytical instruments or mobile platforms.
Used in:
fluidlab R-300: Single-assay platform with turbidimetric measurement (375–700 nm)
fluidlab 2: Modular system with 3-channel spectrometer (360–700 nm), supporting multi-sample and multi-parameter detection with anvajo’s triplex sample carrier
COLORIMETRY
Absorbance-based quantification across the visible spectrum
In colorimetry, the change in light absorption at specific wavelengths reflects the concentration of a target analyte. This forms the basis for many diagnostic and biochemical tests, from enzyme-linked reactions to biomarker quantification.

Metabolite detection in clinical samples
Full-spectrum detection (360–700 nm)
Colorimetric pH or
ion assays
No filter switching
required
Biochemical enzyme

Suitable for endpoint or
kinetic color shifts

TURBIDIMETRY
Light-scatter measurements for particle-based assays
Turbidimetry quantifies how much a sample scatters light, commonly used to detect particles, aggregates or precipitates in a reaction. It’s especially valuable in diagnostic immunoassays, water testing and cell density measurements.

Immunoturbidimetric assays (e.g. proteins)
Coagulation or aggregation monitoring
OD600 for microbial growth tracking
High sensitivity to small changes in light scatter
Water and beverage clarity tests
Works with standard cuvettes and sample carriers
